The Thai Competency Test for foreigners

The Thai Competency Test for foreigners is arranged by the Ministry of Education. The test is conducted once a year and the score is valid for 2 years.

This test comprises of 4 sections – listening, reading, writing, and speaking. The results are divided into 6 levels;

Level 1 (Comparable to beginner level),
Level 2 (Comparable to the junior elementary school level),
Level 3 (Comparable to the elementary school level),
Level 4 (Comparable to the junior secondary school level),
Level 5 (Comparable to the secondary school level),
Level 6 (Comparable to a native-level).
